Bonding wires for high-brightness LEDs are usually made from gold, silver, copper or aluminum, with or without a coating of another metal. However, they are not made of brass.

Thanks for pointing that out. I changed it to gold. Not 100% that's it either, but maybe it's closer. Brted (talk) 01:50, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
